Central

Central is a part of the Bristol West Parliamentary Constituency - which is the most likely constituency in the whole country to return a new Green MP  - Molly Scott Cato - in the 2017 General Election. Molly Scott Cato is currently the Green MEP for the South West of England and Gibraltar.

Central is a two-councillor ward. 
Our previous councillor in Central was Ani Stafford-Townsend (2015-16).
The last local election for Central was held on 5th May 2016. Our candidates Ani Stafford-Townsend (3rd) and Rob Telford (4th) together got 31.11% of the vote, putting us in a close second place just behind Labour.
The next local election for Central will be held on 7th May 2020.

About Central Ward

Central ward runs from the New Cut in the south to Dove Street and West Park in the north, incorporating Bristol city centre, the University of Bristol and Bristol Royal Infirmary.
