Action on Climate Emergency is committed to campaigning on issues which affect the climate emergency.
At the moment we are working to try to prevent to expansion of Bristol airport. The airport’s plans for expansion (from 8m passengers per annum to over 20m by 2040) would create an overwhelming increase in the carbon footprint of aviation – right on our doorstep.
Follow the progress of the campaign at Stop Bristol Airport Expansion.
Please join us in this campaign. Our group meets once a month in central Bristol and welcomes new members. We aim to raise awareness of the climate emergency by engaging with people in Bristol in a variety of ways.
The next meeting is 12 September, 6-8 pm, at YHA, Narrow Quay, BS1 4QA.
