Bristol University announces divestment plans

University of Bristol announces new fossil fuel divestment and carbon reduction plans

Bristol Green Party welcomes the news that the University of Bristol has announced a fossil fuel divestment plan. This comes after years of campaigning from students, staff and alumni of the university. The campaign included two motions submitted to the University of Bristol Court by Green councillor Carla Denyer, the most recent of which passed by a large majority in December 2016.
