Clifton Library and Community Centre Provision

Please click on the latest Clifton Green Party leaflet below to download and to get an overview of the current priorities regarding local library provision.

In summary:

1) Changes may well be necessary in local library provision because a) there is a huge fall in the central government grant to Bristol and a pressure to cut costs b) there is a strategic revisioning of the library service (particularly important in an increasingly digital age).
2) As important as their role in lending books dvds etc is local libraries' role as our community hubs. Any revision of our local library service needs to take this into account.

3) The current priority is to complete the Council's consultation survey which runs until 30 June.
