Patrick McAllister is the Green Party councillor for Hotwells & Harbourside ward, the only councillor representing that ward. He was first elected in a by-election in early 2023,and re-elected in May 2024.
Since he was first elected, Patrick has been hard at work supporting local residents, community groups and businesses in Hotwells and Harbourside – solving issues and speaking up for our community. He has worked on improving waste collection services, getting answers over the Spike Island bridge repairs, and fought for better public transport in the ward. Patrick regularly knocks on doors to directly ask people what problems need fixing. He has repeatedly stood up for Hotwells and Harbourside – from challenging the Labour mayor to getting local voices properly heard over the plans for the Western Harbour development, to successfully campaigning to retain poverty-reduction schemes and protections from nightlife impacts for residents. Patrick will always be able to carry on speaking freely for what is best for our area because only the Green Party doesn’t tell its councillors what to say.
Patrick is dedicated to ensuring clean, efficient transport for Hotwells & Harbourside, standing up for local residents to help them make their voices heard by the Council, and properly scrutinising developments around the harbour.
Patrick has an e-newsletter that you can sign up to here.
