Cllr Tony Dyer is the Leader of Bristol City Council
Born and bred Bristolian, experienced IT consultant and data analyst, Tony has developed widely acknowledged expertise in local government finances, housing and urban planning.
Coming from a business background with responsibility for delivering large scale projects, Tony has been actively involved in Bristol politics for over a decade, developing widely acknowledged expertise in local government finances, housing and urban planning.

Having previously been selected as Parliamentary and as Bristol Mayor candidate by the Greens, Tony is focused on representing Southville as the ward faces severe pressures including Air Quality, large scale local development and increasing traffic congestion.

Tony says; “It has become increasingly obvious that there is a clear need for the council’s decision making to be more effectively scrutinised, and where necessary, challenged. In this era of restricted council budgets, it is important that we ensure the right decisions are being made based on the best evidence available.”
