Green councillor, Fi Hance has become Bristol’s cabinet member leading on health and wellbeing across the city.
Cabinet Member Fi Hance said:
“I want to work across the different parts of the council and the city to promote a happier, healthier Bristol for everyone. Health and wellbeing is about focusing on the things that will improve people’s lives. It is also about ensuring that the council provides the best care possible to citizens. This must include reducing inequality, improving our air quality and ensuring everyone is able to access good food.”
Leader of the Green group of councillors Charlie Bolton said:
“As Greens we have always tried to work as collaboratively as possible to improve the lives of the residents we represent. We hope that we will be able to work with the new Mayor to build a Greener and more equitable Bristol. We have agreed to join the cabinet for as long as we feel the Mayor is working towards these shared aims. We will continue to push for a Labour Mayor to stay true to his pre-election promises and to be greener, bolder, braver and more imaginative. ”
