There are so many amazing things about Easton ward: Easton Community Centre, Easton Mosque, Netham Park, St. Mark’s Rd and above all its fantastic and bold communities. However, Easton also has its issues. Residents tell us they are worried about fly-tipping, polluted air, lack of secondary school places and poor public transport including bus routes and cycle lanes.
Jenny and Barry are working hard to deal with these issues and to ensure that Easton is a better place to live in.
They say:
“We’ve been your Easton team since 2021, and worked really well together. Jenny has promoted affordable housing in Bristol’s new major planning document, worked cross-party to secure trans rights within council services, and campaigned to bring back public toilets.”
“Barry has worked to improve the safety of social housing, headed up the work to keep libraries accessible, and ensured more trees are planted in deprived neighbourhoods.”
“Between us we have a really broad range of skills and experience in the community, and we work well as a team. The Green Party has a chance of running Bristol Council after the election, meaning we can get even more done for Easton.”
Barry said: “Jenny and I are humbled and grateful that the people of Easton have chosen to elect us as your councillors. We will work our socks off to repay the trust you have put in us. We will listen to you, work for you and stand up for you in the council.”
Jenny continued: “Here in Easton, you told us that you’re proud of our diverse community, but you’re fed up with litter and fly-tipping, spiralling rents and traffic-clogged streets. We promise to work with local people to find solutions to these problems and raise your voices across the city.”
