Ashley is a true microcosm of Bristol. It not only has fantastic parks and vibrant community centres but is also home to incredible institutions like St Werburghs City Farm, Hamilton House and St Pauls Learning Centre.
Ashley now has two Green Councillors. Jude English and Tim Wye were elected on May 6th, and the Green Party vote increased by 27% in Ashley. Jude was re-elected having worked hard for the last five years.
Tim and Jude are committed to engaging residents and community groups year-round and working on the issues you raise.
Tim said ” Thank you to everyone who voted, we promise to work hard for you and represent you (whether you voted for us or not!). People also told us they want us to work with all local councillors whatever their background and we will do that to achieve our priorities for the next three years.”
These include introducing measures to reduce air pollution, creating safe streets for everyone by introducing traffic calming and stopping rat runs on Ashley roads, and working with partners to develop a connected plan for people, parks and parking.
