Cara Lavan

Cara Lavan was delighted to be elected as Councillor for St George Central in May 2024 alongside Abi Finch. Cara's other Council responsibilities include sitting on the Public Health and Communities Committee, the Police and Crime Panel, the Corporate Parenting Panel and the Health Overview Scrutiny Committee.

Cara’s other Council responsibilities include sitting on the Public Health and Communities Committee, the Police and Crime Panel, the Corporate Parenting Panel and the Health Overview Scrutiny Committee. She also attends the Combatting Drugs Partnership meetings and Chairs the Member Development Panel.

Outside the Council, Cara is self-employed as an independent filmmaker and a child advocate. She is Mum to a teenager. She is a keen netball player and a member of Easton Everyone Active Gym. She loves music and likes to go dancing whenever there is the chance.
