Ed Plowden

Ed has lived locally in South Bristol for over 30 years and has raised his family here. 

As a councillor in Windmill Hill alongside Lisa Stone, he has worked tirelessly with local community groups to improve the ward, helping hundreds of people.

Ed worked for the City Council for many years, and knows how it works inside and out. As Crime Reduction Manager, he worked with the Police and residents to reduce crime.

As Head of Local and Sustainable Transport, he improved road safety, implemented a 20mph speed limit, doubled cycling, and achieved national recognition for growing public transport. 

Ed said, “I am proud to be part of the Bristol Green Party who have already achieved a great deal locally and nationally.”

“Unlike the other parties, Green councillors can vote for what they think is right for the local ward rather than having to follow the orders of the Party.”

“As a councillor, I will continue to work hard for the local community, as well as being part of the global movement to tackle the climate crisis.”
