Heather Mack is a passionate campaigner, previously working for Oxfam, Greenpeace and in sustainable food. She has prioritised working with and empowering young people, and hopes to continue that in Lockleaze. Growing up on a council estate herself, she understands how important it is to have decent opportunities for young people.
As a councillor Heather has prioritised housing issues and support for families struggling in Lockleaze, this is based on her own experience of growing up in council housing and as a foster carer. She volunteers within Lockleaze on food projects and last year organised a community Christmas dinner.
